Stephanie Williams gallantly served as the President of the Pitch and Putt Golf Club of Baltimore for the past five years. She transitioned to her celestial home in January of this year. Stephanie was an amazing person - so full of life!
She loved the game of golf, and in addition to Pitch and Putt, she was a member of three golf organizations: Forest Park Ladies, Bogey Free, and Diamond Ridge Ladies. Golf was a family affair for Stephanie. She and John, her husband of 43 years, and sometimes joined by their daughter, Shanae, had happy times playing on golf courses all over the region.
We are all indebted to Stephanie for her vision and leadership in building a brick monument with a commemorative plaque at the Carroll Park Golf Course honoring the journey of Baltimore City African American golfers. The Pitch and Putt Golf Club of Baltimore originated in 1938 at the Carroll Park Golf Course. Learn more about the club's mission and history.
The club honors Stephanie's memory with this memorial tournament with great respect for her leadership, love of her can-do spirit, and friendship.
